DON’T buy anymore new parts or trash your old refrigerator/freezer.
The new refrigerator timers and designed to replace multiple previous models and come with a black jumper wire. This wire is to be connected to either terminal #1 or #2 depending on the wiring of your refrigerator.
Wiring
The black wire on the timer needs to be connected to one of the four copper pins, depending on the fridge's wiring. You can check the fridge's wiring diagram to determine which option applies:
Option A: The connector has a white wire.
Option B: The wires are red, pink, orange, and black.
Setup
If the fridge has black, pink, red, and orange wires, the timer motor lead (black wire) goes over the #2 terminal. If the fridge has orange, pink, red, and white wires, the motor lead goes over the #1 terminal.
