Check if there's voltage on the yellow (single wire) connected to the starter motor when trying to start the engine.
The voltage on this lead comes from 30A fuse #16 in the left hand engine bay fuse block via the ''start relay operated'' and is used to operate the solenoid in the starter motor.
Once the solenoid operates, the voltage from the battery (via 250A fuse #6 - top of battery) is connected to the starter motor (2 x red/yellow wires) and the starter motor should turn. The engine may not fire but it should crank.
