iPhone 7 no longer seen by iTunes

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

As of just 2 or 3 days ago, my iTunes on Win10 has been unable to see my iPhone 7. It's always been flakey trying to sync over WiFi but now it's not even seen when connected by USB. Yet Windows Explorer can see it, and see the photos on it. Multiple reboots have made no difference.
I'm using iTunes 12.13.4.4. I'm not aware that it's updated recently
-iPhone 7 is out of support, but surely they haven't blocked iTunes from managing it? That would be a deal-breaker for me, and definitely below the belt.
