No. If you switch out the button from another iPhone 7, Touch ID won’t work, but it should work just fine as a standard button. Unfortunately, the Touch ID function is paired to that specific phone’s Secure Enclave within the phone’s processor.

You might be able to go to an Apple Certified Service Center to see if they can pair the new button with your phone, but you’ll have to have a Genuine Apple part.
