@briandangler I would check for a clogged chip exhaust port as well as the chip ejection switch. I wonder if that just does not completely open close the exhaust path. Time for a good cleaning and possibly checking the the exhaust path for obstruction.

Sometimes blowing compressed air into the chip outlet might remove any obstruction out of the deflector pipe. I would expect some obstruction in the path from the cutters to the deflection pipe. Of course, check the deflector pipe and the port selectro leer as well to ensure it operates properly.
