If you have a DMM (digital multimeter) check the voltage of the battery in the mouse to see if it is OK or not i.e. approx 3.8V DC.

Here's the ifixit [guide|159781] guide that may help.

If the battery is faulty ifixit sells a battery for the mouse (see guide) or search online for ''533-000205'' to find suppliers that suit you best.
