I also face this problem now, but my watch is Garmin Fenix3 HR. I guess the barometer sensor is failed. Using the test program on the watch, it shows 'Valid', but the number is insanely wrong. I plan to get the sensor off the board and replace it with another one.

btw. I swim a lot, every week for about 3 years, the sensor fail maybe because of this.
