Force Trackpad Weak After Assembly

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

Hey all at iFixit.

I am working on this MacBook, and I have been using it for a few months now without any issues. Yet, I couldn't help but notice that the force trackpad was very weak. I could hear the click, but I could barely even feel it. I took the machine apart, but the trackpad felt fine. After a snapped the lower case back on, the trackpad became weak again. Something happens when I snap the lower case on, and the trackpad loses power. I feel like something might be bent on the lower case, but nothing appears off.

Should I look somewhere else? Why would the trackpad lose power by simply putting on the lower case?
