***You need to discontinue use of your phone now and avoid direct contact with the phone.*** From what you described it sounds like the underlying issue with the MB may have caused your phone's battery to swell, and most likely caused it to burst. You need to disconnect it from any power source, handle it with gloves to prevent further exposure since the chemicals in that battey can be harmful.
