potential ribbon cable damage, middle of screen not working?

I like to help people and give repairs for screens on the cheap. Sometimes this leads to me running into things I've never repaired before, such as this pro 7+.
After I got the new screen in and got everything back together, I started having an issue where a large portion of the middle of the screen isn't responding to touch. I've already tested the screen with the uefi, and reinstalling the driver for it, but I think its a hardware issue.
I'll take it to a professional if I cant fix it myself, but if I could get some potential help, I'd be grateful. Even if its just linking me to new cables or sending an image of which cable port is likely the problem.
