Check the disk is the correct region for the wii and not damaged. It’s possible the new drive also has an issue depending where you got it from bare that in mind. This problem could also be the wii itself. Do you know it’s history? It’s possible it was soft modded and restored to stock badly. One thing you could try replacing if you haven’t is the ribbon cable to the drive.
