Hi,

I’m not sure what they mean by module, but if the SIM socket has been damaged in some way then you would need to replace it with a new one.

Not difficult with the more later iPhones as the SIM socket is now modular, which means they can be unscrewed & unplugged, so you no longer have to have them replaced by a micro soldering business.

However, if they were talking about the IC module you won’t be able to fix it yourself and will need to take it to a micro soldering business for assessment to determine exactly what needs to be replaced.
