Try the following and see if either one resolves the problem.
a). Turn off the laptop if it is on and disconnect the charger (if connected). ''Press and hold'' the laptop's power On button for 15 seconds and then release it. Reconnect the charger and turn on the laptop and check.
-b). Turn off the laptop if it is on and disconnect the charger (if connected). Open the laptop and remove the battery from the laptop, then ''Press and hold'' the laptop's power On button for 30 seconds and then release it. Reinstall the battery, reassemble the laptop, reconnect the charger and turn on the laptop and check. +b). Turn off the laptop if it is on and disconnect the charger (if connected). If still no good then there's a problem on the motherboard and further testing would be required using the schematics to find out what's wrong.
