Well, if it worked b4 the repair and doesn't after the repair, the repair didn't go quite as "smoothly" as you think.

You must have missed something in the process. A solder splash, a missing cable connection, a disconnected/broken wire.

Retrace your repair looking for those things. Obviously, if the SIM card works in other phone, it isn't a card issue.
