First remove the IDE ribbon cable, then the power cable. There's a very small phillips screw holding the hard drive bracket in place in the center front of the bracket under the ribbon cable that has to come out. Then pull the drive out horizontally about 1/2" to dis engage the slots holding the drive in place and lift out. Next you need something to put the drive into such as an external IDE enclosure or a Universal Adapter. This one can be used for different types of drive and is very handy, it connect via USB: [product|IF107-108]

+I got my Universal Drive Adapter everything works .... just one problem....the hard drive I want to download does not load to my desktop ... I hear the hard drive spinning but for some reason does not load....
