Try the following, one at a time and check if any resolve the problem:

***a).*** Reset Hibernation -

Type cmd in the search box on the Taskbar and select Command Prompt > ''Run as Administrator''

Accept any UAC prompts to open the Command window.

Type the following commands one at a time and ''hit Enter after each command''

powercfg –h off

powercfg –h on

Note: Yes there is a space between some of the characters as shown

Exit the Command window and restart the laptop and check if Hibernation now works OK.

***b).*** Check that all the system files are OK.

In a Command window as above type sfc /scannow and hit Enter and then after the checks have finished restart the laptop in the normal manner and check.
