Your maintenance light will illuminate when it's time to schedule a service, so it's important to stay up-to-date on your oil changes and tire rotations. But if you take care of your routine maintenance at home, you might need to reset the light manually.
* Place your key in the ignition and turn to the "on" position, but do not start the vehicle.
* Press and hold the trip reset button until "Trip A" pops on the screen.
* Turn your key back to the "off" position.
* Press the button to reset the trip and turn the key back to the "on" position.
* If the miles section of the odometer suddenly flashes zero, you've successfully reset the maintenance light.
What if your attempt didn't work? Try again. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get the timing right.
