Left Stick Constant Input Down

I attempted some maintenance on my controller a couple of weeks ago, using some 99% IPA to scrub the potentiometers of the joysticks to my controller, as well as the joysticks themselves, and other areas of the motherboard. However, as a result, the left stick has been constantly giving input downward according to the direction of the stick.
-I have attempted to clean the potentiometers again, as well as replace the left stick just today, to no avail on resolving this issue.
+I have attempted to clean the potentiometers again, as well as replace the left stick just today, to no avail on resolving this new issue.
Upon testing for continuity, I noticed that the pins in the potentiometer intended to input vertical LS movement do not seem to have a connection. This is after clarifying that all of the opposite pins on all three of the other potentiometers in the controller returned a status of continuity existing between them respectively.
I am wondering, then, what the problem could be with the controller. Thank you for reading into my inquiry.
