Googling your code, and guessing it's a Whirlpool, it’s still angry about the switch. 1 would most likely indicate closed or latched with 0 meaning open, like on a switch.

If it’s not too awful, ohm the two switches out and make sure they both read open and closed with the switches in the same position. I.E. if you press the switch, do you get at or near 0 ohms and if you release them do they both read open or high impedance or something like that. You may have a switch that looks and fits the same but it’s designed for it’s operating position to be the opposite of the one your washer came with.

Try unplugging it for awhile, like 5-10 minutes too and check for a CMOS battery, it could retain unwanted settings. I know you said you did a factory reset…. Sometimes electronics don’t behave. There’s a reason tech support always tells you to unplug and plug something back in, electronics can be uncooperative. Barring that: find a local repair person, buy the part from them, and tell them what trouble you’re having. I’m not saying make them feel like their part is defective, you’re essentially paying them for their knowledge. Part of what you pay for is experience with trades people and the part would probably be cheaper than a service call but still engender goodwill.
