Why not just download the Lenovo diagnostics and run from a USB drive.

That should allow you to test the hard/SSD drive.
I can't remember for sure but the Lenovo Diagnostics may be on a hidden partitiion on the hard drive so if the drive is corrupted, as yours probably is, the diagnostic would not run properly from the FN F2 or F12 screens.
