+moved the key to the start position, nothing happens.

I have a Craftsman DTS4500 riding mower. It has a new ignition switch., a new starter solenoid., and I just changed the ignition coils. After changing the coils the engine started right up and ran smoothly. I went to drive the mower out of the garage when I remembered that I had pulled the transport lever out to push the mower into the garage. After disengaging this lever, I found that when I moved the key to the start position, nothing happens. I have checked the brake safety switch and it appears to be working. I also tried bypassing the brake safety switch to see if the engine would start and still nothing. The only wiring issue I saw is a damaged connector going to the lights with exposed wires. I cut the wires, removing the connector (I have to replace it anyways). Any ideas?
