This might be a reach, but for anyone struggling with a similar problem with any of their devices, I would try disabling USB selective suspend setting in the advanced power settings:

# Open the ***Control Panel***.
# Click on the ***Power Options*** icon.
# Next to the currently active power plan (i.e. "Balanced"), click on the ***Change plan settings link***.
# Click on ***Change advanced power settings***.
# In the Power Options window, expand the ***USB settings*** section.
# Expand the ***USB selective suspend setting***, click on the setting, and set it to ***Enabled***.
# Click ***OK*** to save your changes!

If for some reason the system thinks your headset dongle is "idle", this should prevent it from being temporarily suspended. Either way, there's no point to keeping this setting enabled if you're on a desktop.
