Hi!

I know that this could happen if the ribbon (screen) cable is put in the wrong way. Are you sure it's connected properly? (the golden pins should be on top) is you can see here: [guide|103533] (step 5 photo).

If it is connected properly then it's either the port which need an replacement or something else on the motherboard which failed.
