I just watched a YouTube video about cleaning, fixing dishwashers. This guy says that the white residue means you are using too much dishwasher detergent. He claims he can get away with 50% less. [br]

Also he said something that I had never relalized. That in North America that the water is hooked up to the hot water. Well if It takes 3-5 min for the sink water to get hot, it will take the same for your dishwasher. By the time the first wash is done, it used cool water and soap and didn't get it that clean. He said turn on your kitchen faucet first to get the water hot. [br]
[br]
He also mentioned some kind of Citric Acid? Lemonshine? Something like that to help with the water deposits. [br]

Anyway, I put four cups upright on the top rack and ran the rinse cycle for a few minutes. Was shocked to find out that the water was cold. All four cups did fill up with water so I know the top one is spinning.

By the way, last month I took a rag and wiped inside - the bottom of the door. OMG - it was black and gross. [br]

I did put vinegar in a few cups on the bottom shelf a few months ago and ran it. the sprayer pushed out the vinegar and i think it helped clean it.

Hope this helps. I'm still learning.
