Have the same problem. I removed the battery and tested the pin that connects to the battery. I only got 0.621 volts. Test it numerous times there’s a defect with the calculator circuitry don’t waste money on new batteries if the manufacturer won’t fix it find an external battery charger. My calculator was new. After the first drain it would not charge
