Could your laptop have been overheating during the install? No?
Just let Windows install its generic graphics driver. Reboot and do any ''other'' driver and Windows updates.
Once everything seems stable then try installing the NVIDIA drivers. Make sure they are the ones for your graphics card. Very important.
-Better still remove all traces of the NVIDIA drivers.
