With the monitor turned on etc, try shining a flashlight at an angle close to the screen and check if you can see any images on the screen.
They will be ''very faint'' if they are there, so trying this in a darkened room may help.
''If they are seen'' then there's a backlight problem with the display.
Either a faulty backlight power supply, faulty backlight cable connection (if this is what's used or faulty backlights.

I can't find a service manual or a teardown video for the monitor so if it is no longer covered by the warranty, you may need to work out how to remove the back cover so that you can start checking thins.
