I have the GE Profile JGP975SEK1SS cooktop and teh Spark Electrodes to light the gas have gone bad. To get to teh electrodes one needs to remove the Maintop assembly. It is held with some screws that I am able to remove but the head burner on the front left side has an element sticky out that I am unsure what it is and whether it can be safety removed. Looking at the diagram for this cooktop it could be the ***Screw Simmer Base Inj WB01T10093 / AP3868728*** but I am unsure. And not sure what to use to remove it.
