Speakerphone Issue: Can't Be Heard When Switched to Speaker

Whenever I make a call, the other person can hear me fine until I switch to speakerphone. Once on speakerphone, they can't hear me at all. It seems like a common software issue rather than hardware, as many others have experienced the same problem, but I haven't found a solution yet. I Even saw those who got new phones transferring the same issue from the 12 Pro Max. Does anyone know a fix?
