It would be worth testing the other functions on some references, IE:

will a 100 ome resistor measure at around 100 ome

will a 5v line measure at 5v

If other functions seem about right, you may only need to replace the buzzer inside the meter, so it will beep again.

You can also test if the buzzer gets any voltage if you have another meter to test with.
