I found this post extremely helpful. I did the following with no joy on the draining:
# replaced drain pump (now I have a spare)
# cleaned the eye thingy that assesses how dirty the rinse water is
# cleaned the drain line hose
-# cleaned the overflow detector mushroom
+# cleaned the overflow mushroom float
# verified the garbage disposal is not connected to the dishwasher drain line
-
At this point I began to suspect the dishwasher was working perfectly. So i detached the dishwasher drain hose from the house drain pipe and clipped the hose onto a 5 gallon plastic bucket for a test cycle (yup, dishwasher was never broken).
To unclog the house drain line I poured boiling water into it with a bit of baking soda. Let it sit a while. Did it again once it had drained through and then blew it out with the CO2 tank air from my kegerator. Problem solved!
