The transmission fluid is stored inside your car's transmission, but you can't directly access it there. To check the fluid level, you'll need to locate the ***transmission fluid dipstick***.
This dipstick is usually found under the hood of your car and resembles the engine oil dipstick. The exact location can vary depending on your car's make and model:
* ***In-line engine with rear-wheel drive:*** Look towards the rear of the engine, near where it meets the transmission.
* ***Front-wheel drive:*** Look near the engine oil dipstick, often on the right side or close to the battery.
If you're unsure where to find it, consult your car's owner's manual for specific instructions. They will also detail the process of checking the transmission fluid level and topping it up if needed.
And is one of those few things that we don't change in modern cars.
