Boot failure after battery replacement (2020 MacBook Pro, 13")

Hi!
-I just completed a battery swap on my 13" MacBook Pro, Late 2020 w/ two thunderbolt ports, following [guide|143286|IFixit's tutorial|new_window=true] and using a replacement battery from IFixit.
+I just completed a battery swap on my 13" MacBook Pro, 2020 w/ two thunderbolt ports, following [guide|143286|IFixit's tutorial|new_window=true] and using a replacement battery from IFixit.
Unfortunately, when I attempt to boot the device, I reach the Apple logo, which stays on screen for a few seconds, and then the boot fails and the screen goes black. This occurs regardless of whether I attempt to boot the device when it is plugged into power or when it is on battery only.
I have attempted the following troubleshooting steps:
# Reseating the battery data board cable to its connector on the logic board. At this point, I am somewhat confident this is seated correctly, based on visual inspection and that when I plug the device in to power, it flashes the "computer off battery information screen" showing that the battery is at 56% power, which I am hoping means that the device is getting information from the battery).

# Potentially useful context - initially after the repair, it showed a 0% battery when flashing the "computer off battery information screen" (for lack of a better term), and had the same boot problem (get to Apple logo, then turn off). When I reseated the batter data connector, it switched to showing the 56% power (noted above), but the boot problem remained.
# Reseating the battery power connection, attempting to make sure it is fully contacting.
# Resetting the device's SMC, following [link|https://support.apple.com/en-gb/102605|these instructions from Apple|new_window=true], for a device with a T2 security chip.

Any suggestions as to what could be causing this/steps I can take to troubleshoot?
Thank you!
