I just changed the battery on my Mac following [guide|110038|this guide|new_window=true]. After I changed the battery, I somehow tore the Retina display cable. I replaced that as soon as possible, and then calibrated the battery. Now that the Mac is up and running again, it is so slow! Even after wiping the drive and reinstalling a copy of macOS from Internet Recovery, the Mac is so slow. I feel like the Mac may be rejecting the new battery by lowing its performance. Is this a common issue with batteries that are not by Apple?
