Suddenly getting No Service 95% of the time

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

Hi everyone, I’m trying to diagnose why my iPhone 12 Mini has suddenly had a huge drop in signal quality.
I noticed a few days ago that I had No Service for pretty much the whole day. I figured it was to do with my network provider so went through the usual diagnostics with them - they couldn’t find an issue.
-It’s worth noting that my wife has exactly the same iPhone model as me and we are with the same network provider, yet she has signal in the same places. I’ve also been to various locations within a 30 mile radius throughout the day and only in one of those locations I seemed to have a very weak 3G connection. All other locations (about 8 in total it was No Service).

Put my wife’s SIM in my phone - No Service.
Is this pointing to a hardware failure or software failure? And can it be repaired?
I’ve followed a few guides online. Rach is showing “-71”. I can access the modem serial no., IMEI and all other components that suggest it isn’t a hardware failure, so I’m a bit confused at this point!

+What gives me hope is that I have been able to get signal in one location, albeit very poor signal, so my phone is clearly able to receive some signal, but something is obviously not working properly.

+Also worth noting I currently have a smashed glass back which has been that way for about 2 years and hasn’t cause me issues.
