Why isn't my Switch charging after replacing the cartridge slot?

A couple days ago, I replaced the cartridge slot in a Switch that wasn't reading games. It began reading games again, but for some reason, it's no longer charging. I'm not sure what would have caused this. I didn't alter anything on the motherboard itself. The only components I touched after opening the console were the heat sink and the board the cartridge slot is on. Has anybody else run into an issue like this?
