Usually a factory reset is a good indicator of whether it is a hardware problem or a software problem i.e. if it works after a factory reset (and before restoring with a backup) it's software, if not it's hardware.
Try testing the camera using the test code shown for the [link|https://www.hardreset.info/devices/redmi/redmi-note-10/codes/#Testing|QC test] (scroll down to #6) to see what it shows.
if it still fails you will have to open the phone and check that the camera connections to the systemboard are secure and if so then the camera module may have to be replaced. The hard part is knowing whether it is the front camera or the rear camera that is the cause of the problem.
