@tracystone sounds like this is a bad switch. It is okay to replace, just make sure you ***''unplug''*** your tile saw first. The replacement part for the R4092 is Ridgid part number 089041034151 and it is readily available. The switch itself is held in place by some spring tabs. All you have to do is use a screwdriver and lever it out of the socket.
