Assuming your vehicle has a hydraulic clutch system then your problem sounds like it is most likely either low of fluid, out of adjustment due to normal wear, broken or collapsed line from the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder,  or one or both of the before mentioned cylinders has gone bad.
