The part number for the DC-In cable is DC30100PE00 which is applicable to both the P50 and P51 models (also seen on the image in the link from ifixit that you posted)
According to the video you posted it is compatible as long as your P51 laptop, is a MT 20HH or a 20HJ model and not an 20MM or 20MN model, but I suspect it may be just how to access the DC-In cable rather than the DC-In cable itself is the reason for the warning notice. (Note; the MT model number is shown on the product info label on the bottom of the laptop)
