Try connecting an external monitor (TV?) to the laptop's HDMI port and check what the display from the laptop is like on it. Don't forget to press the Display toggle function keys (Fn + F5?) to switch th edisplay output from the laptop screen, to the external monitor, to both on together.

If the external monitor display is OK it may be a problem with the video cable, video cable connection at either end,- motherboard or screen, or the laptop screen itself.
Try ''gently'' moving the laptop screen slowly back and forth to see if you can make it stop flickering or even if you can make it worse.
Since you have recently purchased it, I suggest that you contact the Acer customer service section in your location (check the user manual for details) and make a claim for a ''manufacturer's warranty repair, replacement or refund.'' Do not attempt to open the laptop to see if you can fix it, as this will void the warranty.
