I have this problem - replaced battery with one from here and it will not charge, saying it's not a Dell one. Also tried the solution here including removing the cmos battery temporarily.

Flashed the latest BIOS from Dell, but should mention I'm running Ubuntu, not windows. Any ideas gratefully received.
