Hey there! I decided to try and ask this question on iFixit as no other tutorials I've found for a PS2 Slim buzzing fix will work in my particular unit.
My model is an SCPH-77001 and it buzzes whenever the lid is closed or it thinks there's a disc in the drive, alongside not reading and spinning up a disc. I've tried putting in a new optical block, but it didn't fix my problem. I also noticed the ribbon cable connected to the laser is starting to fray from the laser riding back and forth on it. Would I need a new ribbon cable? Thank you so much for any comments.
