In my case, I tried other ram (in case my ram was faulty) and testing each ram port individually and resetting EMC etc and it did not fix it.

I was worried it was a logic board issue, though as suggested on another forum, I unplugged my laptop battery from the logic board for a few seconds, then re-plugged it back in and my laptop worked again.

I suggest people try this to see if it fixes their issue before trying more drastic options.
