Unfortunately, KitchenAid made this a very difficult task. There are three screws inside the mixer located underneath the motor which attach the mixer body to the base. You will need to remove the motor to access these screws.

There are three screws inside the mixer located underneath the motor which attach the mixer body to the base. You may be able to access them by just removing the cover. It can be a bit difficult to get sufficient torque to do this. If you can't put enough torque on them to tighten them down with just the cover removed, then you will need to remove the motor.
