Hi[br]
I want to upgrade my Mac Pro 3.1 which is currently using 2 x 2.8 Xeon and 8GB 667 Mhz DDR2 memory.[br]
I have 2 Xeon X5460 3.1GHz processors which are designed to work with 667 MHz memory in synchronous mode. I will use them for processor upgrade. What will happen if I also upgrade to 800 MHz memory in such a system? The Mac Pro will use the new memory in asynchronous mode at 800MHz or it will use it in synchronous mode with processor (Xeon X5460) at 667 MHz ?
