Yep my whirlpool has this issue also. When the fridge was still under warranty I had the repair people out here 3 different times and they never fixed it. Now it’s out of warranty and still freezes up.

Yep my whirlpool has this issue also. When the fridge was still under warranty I had the repair people out here 3 different times and they never fixed it. Now it’s out of warranty and still freezes up. Have to take the back panel off the freezer and defrost the fan about once a month. I usually know when it’s about time to do it because the ice maker slows down on making ice.
