It may be that the battery is failing and this is why it behaves as it does.

When you have the report, compare the ''Design Capacity'' value versus the ''Full Charge Capacity'' value. For a good battery they should nearly be the same. You can work out as a percentage the condition of the battery now as to what it was when new, using the formula Full Charge Capacity value x 100 ÷ Design Capacity value
