@nenecunn this does not sound like your power button but it sounds like a power issue. First you want to check your power supply. Make sure it has the proper voltages. Check to make sure connectors are not bend etc. After that, check the charging port. Clean it of any debris etc, use a few puffs of air to clean it out. If none of this works, get a ammeter and see if your phone draws any amperage from the charger.This could be a battery issue as well as a charging port/charging board issue. This series also has issues with the flex cable from the daughter board (sub board) to the main board. You will need to check that as well.
