Do SMC reset and PRAM reset, remove RAM chips and re-insert firmly, get new RAM chips and replace old RAM chips, insert your gray install disc 1 and press C to boot from it. Then go into disk utility and repair disk and repair disk permissions. Lastly double check you got the right top case as it won't work on certain Macbooks.
